Workshops of stop-motion

February 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th

In 4 different sessions, children aged between 6 and 14 produced their own short film, participating in all the stages involved: script, characters, and filming. Plasticine, sand, stones, plastic figures, and cellophane will be used to create the characters and the sets they will bring to life in front of the camera, operating spotlights, moving figures or parts of the sets, or taking pictures of the scenes to create a real movie.

Workshops of silent movies

February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

Children between 5 and 12 years-old were introduced in 4 enjoyable sessions to the origins of the movies and the cinema itself, though the construction of different optical toys such as the Thaumatrope, the Zoetrope, or the Flipbook. They had the chance to play with lights and shadows, to elaborate stories and to create characters for their own silent movies.
